The Academy

When I started the season- as a Championship side ...my First Team squad , and Alliance were 'populated' with players ...whereas my Academy was not ...and there seems to be no way to do it - I can see how to 'search for and appoint Alliance team members but not the Academy . If Academies are only operating for Super League teams - does this automatically come 'on stream' once I am promoted - or am I missing something here ?

Hi It is the Super League and the NRL that have academies. Once you are promoted to one of these two leagues, the academy will automatically fill with new recruits as an academy is formed. If you are relegated from one of these two leagues, the academy will be disbanded.

Hi I have been promoted to Super league ( nice ) and it is now Jan 13th - but still no Academy players - only threats to fine the club as we don't have the prescribed 25 players operating there . I've started buying in young players to put there - and transferring some of my First team squad down to the Academy - but it still only gives me 15 players ... - so , my question is ...when does the Academy begin populating itself with players - as the first match is in about 2 weeks for them ?

Hi Sorry, Had meant to say that the Academy will automatically be created You will need to populate it with players, yourself. There should be plenty of out of contract bargains to scout though,and your Academy expectation will just be to not finish bottom of the league.
Well done for getting promotion, the Qualifiers are usually a shock to the system for Championship clubs when they come up against Super League opposition. Or maybe you were just lucky the Million Pound Game ? 😊

Not lucky - prepared .... so ....I have to populate the Academy myself - no worries . I can do that . thanks for the update - and the clarity :-) I didn't need the 'Million Pound ' Game I finished 3rd .
