gore
so i why the lack of excessive gore? that was a wonderful feature of CL. i know i can increase body duration but..... it was fun to cover the ground in forever-bodies.

As I understand it, the game uses Neon Chrome's 3-D tech. Presumably having persistant corpses would be too much of a frame rate hit. Whereas Crimsonland could do corpses on the ground all day as 2-D tech (I may be oversimplifying, it's just speculation based on what I've read).

I certainly find the game gory enough; it's just they decided to do geysers of purple Lovecraft monster goo instead of Crimsonland red blood. :steamhappy:

fwiw, I had to disable post-processing in graphics options to keep a consistent frame rate in this. Otherwise, the huger enemy hordes frequently caused me frame rate problems. Not even the most system-crushing FPS has overwhelmed my GTX 970 card the last couple years, but somehow this game has. :)

Strange that you're having frame rate issues. I've been playing this in 4K with max settings and zoomed out camera on an antediluvian i7 920 equipped with 16GB RAM and a 960 GPU and the frame rate rarely dropped below 60. I'm not yet that far into the game though.

It's pretty gory, but with purple blood, which is taking feel off. And you can increase number of corpses in menu and walking on piles of corpses.

Which resolution do you have BlackjackGT? The postprocessing system is actually rather light on performance (high resolution might make it heavier though).

GTX 970 should be just fine with the game. Although this game can also be bit heavy on CPU, when monster count runs high.
