Rotating Room Puzzle--Need Help Getting to "Super Dome."
Dear All:

I started playing Riven yesterday and learned that the more things change; the more they stay the same. Take, for example, my problem with the rotating room puzzle. I'll be honest and tell I am using a walkthrough, and it says rotate the room 4 times to clear the way to the big gold dome.

My question is this: When I look through the peephole, how do I know for sure that I'm heading in the right direction?

Sincerely yours always,

Indy.

It's really easy to finish revolving room Trial-Error. Keep in mind: each way in has two possible exits. The room is a pentagon, so each way in needs either two or three button pushes for next open passage. Start by opening a way in from the gate you have to crawl under.
First of all, thank you kindly for your advice. Secondly, I was thinking this: I push two, three or, as some people suggest, four times and then I hit the gate. Your thoughts?

Sincerely yours always,

Indy.

Given: rotating room with sides 1,2,3,4,5; Passages on sides 1 & 3; peepholes in sides 2,4,5.
Given: stationary surrounding wall, with sides A,B,C,D. Bridge to temple&maglev @ A. Straight Drawbridge to dame @ C. Double door @ D. Gate you crawl under @ E? Steam valve @ B? You could cut out a paper pentagon, for the rotating room, and spin it on top of a larger drawn pentagon for the surrounding wall :P
