Riven on Win7 64-bit

As much discussion as I see here about problems running Riven on new operating systems, I wanted to share my discovery of a successful fix:

I had the game running on my installation of Win7-64bit Professional with a quad-core processor, but I was trying to use the version of Quicktime that was originally distributed with the 10th anniversary Masterpiece Edition. The movies did not play. For anyone who knows the series, you can't frkin play it without the movies! So, hunting down this Vista patch for Riven, and using THAT version of quicktime seems to have solved the problem for me, along with running it in compatibility mode. Cheers!
