Apparently games from Key are notorious for terrible H-scenes. That's not their area of expertise when it comes to drama. This is why I still haven't bought Tomoyo After. That and, well, she's not that great a character to me. A little too forceful.

In any case they don't want to ruin the visual novel. My arguments:
-I already read some of then and the keyVA h-scenes are pretty bad and descontextualiced. They don't even exist in the vanilla game.
-Litttle Busters is a visual novel to laught and cry, not for you to m*sturb*te with it. This is not Nekopara or some kind of generic harem story.
-The main theme is the friendship not love or romance, not even talk about sex.

I propose you to read it and if, after you complete it, you feel like the h-scenes were neccesary go read some doujin.

There is an reason that they left out the H scenes,
and no, its not because of the rules on Steam since plenty of games use loopholes.
So the devs have deliberately took the H scenes out of the game.

You can look at it anyway you wants, the fact is : there is an adult version with hentai content and it's not a fan mod, it was an official release from Key.

And, in almost all H content thread, you have people that come and try to convince you that "trust me, in this game, you don't need it".

But the scenes are just plain bad and akward, litterly an afterthought. H scenes dont need to add to the story, but they do need to be written properly. You can probebly find better fanfiction of it.
Witch is probebly why they decided to scrap them at the English release.

Is not my opinion, is the opinion of almost every people who read little busters without the h-scenes and with then. I never meeted a fan of keyVA who likes their h-scenes, even the fanfics are better.

Is not also my opinion, but the general opinion of those who read little busters, that friendship and " personal growing up" are the main theme in little busters.

Even if you can skip then, the H-scenes ruin the mood of this and every one of the keyVA visual novels. Even in the EX version where they were released you can only read then once you complete all the 8 first basic routes. Those scenes are, literally, to be readed once you already understand all the story so they don't ruin it in the first playthrought. Is not about the h-scenes not making additions to the story, is about they breaking it.

I am not agains the h-scenes and nudity in a general way, in fact I usually like then (I would reccomend you some Eushully eroges but the only one with a proper english traslation is Kamidori and is not pretty good compared to other I readed in japanese like Ikusa Megami or Soukoku no arterial), but in the keyVA visual novels those scenes go directly againts the Main character and the heroines personality and usually also agains the context. In Kanon you can see a very stupid scene where one heroine enter in the main character room by the window and the main character, for no reason and agains the personality that has showed in the first 10 hours of text, basically rape her because he thinks she want to have sex. Not only the context but the art and the dialogues are significantly worse. There is not even dubbing from the voice actress in then (not only Kanon but every key h-scene I have readed) and are preety short compared to the usual lenght.

Honestly is a shame that you don't read visual novels without h-scenes. I'm not trying to insult you or something like that is just that I want to convice you to try reading it and convince yourself that those scenes are unnecesary having characters so good like the ones that little busters have.

Do you even have experience with the H content or are you repeating the "American weeb doxa" ?

Even so, "common knowledge" say that Kanon's, Air's or Tomoyo's scenes are bad, and Typemon's and Liar Soft's and Muv Luv Alternative's and so on...

Porn is much harder to distribute in the west, and anime characters sell well, it's more easily profitable to choose the all age version. Some company like Sekai Project adapt by themeselves all age version of adult only VNs instead of just translating them. Would you suppress a scene instead of translating t because you think it's bad in a game, movie, novel, comics... ? of course not, it's because it's porn that it's cut.

In my "personal opinion" Little Busters is a VN where the best part is how all the routes works like a whole to send you at the end in the last route a message about "friendship" and "personal growing up". When you add those h-scenes in that whole you break the balance and the message lose part of his essence.

When I first discovered that there is a h-version of the game, so much years ago, I was at the middle of the second route and my reaction was precisely that I want to read that version. I start learning japanese cause I want to read those scenes (there were some more causes) and the fan traslation was very slow. When I finally get a good level of understanding I read some of then and I was unable to read then all because I don't wanted to keep ruining my memories of the routes when I first read then.

Yes, I admit that I have not readed all the h-scenes of Little Busters myself but I see summaries of the other ones and is almost the same for them.

If a patch with those scenes is released I am not complaining about it because in the actual situation h-scenes seems to make VNs really popular but you can be sure that I am not installing it.

That is my personal opinion and experience. If you really want to properly understand why I am specially agains those scenes read Little Busters and don't complaint about the "not-h-version" without trying first just like I don't complained about the h-version until I readed some of the scenes.

i still want the patch, and I'm sure it would have boost the sales if it was planed at the time of release. Now it may be too late for the sale boost, and we may not see another Key VN anytime soon given the sales.

They only added half-assed h-scenes to make money out of people who enjoy h-scenes for what they are. Believe me, they don't add anything new to the table or strengthen the story in any way. They are there just to be fap material. If you really want to see those scenes, just look up an online CG archive and use waifu2x filter on them, and done, you have high resolution Little Busters h-scenes.

Little Busters is a story about strength of friendship and it's all about character development. The original Little Busters was never meant to be an eroge. Even though they made Little Busters EX, they removed the h-scenes in Little Busters Memorial Edition and Little Busters Perfect Edition, the version which the Steam version is based on. Key themselves believed in people who actually care about the story and not the fap material, and thus they put LB on Steam without h-scenes. Sure, an option for h-scenes would be a nice addition for those who feel incomplete without them, but they didn't add h-scenes option for Tomoyo After's Steam version either, which was an erotic spin-off of CLANNAD, so I bet it's not happening anytime soon.
