How long is the Refrain route? (all routes pre-Refrain SPOILERS)

So I just cleared the second Rin route and I had assumed that Refrain would simply occur straight after as an extension of the aforementioned.

But instead, "Refrain" replaces the "New Game" option. So I started it and it has the same opening line as the Common Route, only in white unread text. I immediately quit the game. I remember that the common route the first time around was incredibly long, and I expect, as the game's initial final route, Refrain will be the longest of them all.

So relatively, how long is Refrain compared to the other individual routes? Double? Triple?

I was really hoping I'd have this game done by the end of the week. On the one hand I absolutely love the game but on the other I just want it to end. I'm really enjoying it but it's just a bit too long in some scenes. I've enjoyed most of the route endings but sometimes the time it takes to get there is a little too much. Kud's route was absolutely my least favourite though as I thought how it ended was way too "out there" and I didn't really care about this fictional ex-Soviet country (which has a space program... okay) or its customs.

Rin 2 had some really amazing scenes and revelations, but then they go to the house and it just becomes aimless for ages. On the other hand, all of these "trivial" scenes do make you more familiar with the characters and the sheer length/nuber of them mean some inevitably become lost in one's memory which then makes it awesome when they remind you of stuff (I'm thinking of Haruka not liking mint, and the phone password scene being two great examples of foreshadowing).

Been too long since I last played LB! but if I recall correctly, Refrain covers mainly when Riki brings the Little Busters back and then goes back to the real world after the bus crash and then tries to save everyone and bring them to safety. So iirc its somewhat short but it does open up new routes. (its been a really long time, so I may be completely wrong)

Also I think Refrain replaces New Game until you finish the route, after that the menu should change again. and I think you can also replay Refrain again for an achievement.

I dont remember the exact time, but Refrain is longer then your average girl route (Its been to long for me to remember, but I would say double - triple)
Refrain is split up between chapters aswell. But dont wory, you dont have to play through the common route all over again.


But I will say this, refrain is realy, realy good. I would say the best part off Little Busters even.
So if you made it this far and enjoyed it for the most part, atleast make it through to refrain.


And depending what you consider completed, after refrain 3 new routes will be availeble! And all 3 are worth playing if you ask me, these have the normal girl route lenght.

I have now finished Refrain, and wow, easily the best route by far. Outstanding stuff.
