No choice to instantly open up EX routes?

I was surprised about this as well. As in the original LB! and EX VNs, they asked you if you wanted to have those routes available by a prompt when you opened the game.
I guess it changed somewhere down all the remakes/remasters or they addded it in this one.

Until someone confirms, I'll assume you need to finish the Refrain/True Ending route if not a certain character's route before you unlock the EX ones.

This is just a far-fetched guess, but I'm leaning towards the belief that they decided not to prompt the option because it's the first time it has been officially released in English, meaning that in a perfect isolated market, we wouldn't have discovered this before now, giving us no reason to want to skip, whereas the re-releases were made available to people who had already completed the first release, hence giving them the option to go straight to the new content.

yeah if sombody has save files that have the routes done except for the last 3 that would be cool to have. The save files are located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<numbers>\635940\remote

You could also try loading a game at the very end of refrain so you can flag for it rather than loading a read/undread file It depends how the flags are set up though, it might check to see if you did all the routes or just check for refrain being read.

But we would need sombody to have a save there to give.

I think personally I will just reread it all since it has been awhile for me.

I think so, too. In the original Japanese versions, they specifically warn you that you need to have finished the true end before reading them, because they're kind of spoilery for the main plot. They probably didn't want anyone to bumble into them, just clicking yes without realizing.

Can somebody help me? I just finished Refrain 2 times, but the EX route is not available......helpp
