Direct Drive Wheel Not Working

As per title, no force feedback on my direct drive wheel.

I have a Sim-plicity SW20 V3, a fantastic 20Nm wheel that basically works with every title i can throw at it, even a 20 year old sim game like RBR work with this wheel but CarX is the only one that doesn't.
The wheel itself is getting recognised as a gamepad instead of a wheel (like my previous Logitech G923) so no force feedback there and no option to change device type.
I've tried everything you can find online: disabled FFB for every peripheral, having the only the wheel connected (no kb or mouse either), used vjoy and other bridging software to try and bypass the issue, no luck.

It's a shame because i've had this game for over a year now and if my wheel doesn't work in the game i have zero reasons to play it. There is no point in me taking out the controller when i can boot up AC, Beam or any other racing game that has proper wheel support.
Double shame because of the 5 hours of gameplay, 30 minutes were on the G923 and 4h30m have been spent troubleshooting without a solution and i can't refund the game either anymore so this purchase was a waste of money.

I hope the devs understand that by not supporting Direct Drive wheels they're cutting off any player that has a sim wheelbase outside of Logitech or Thrustmaster ecosystems.
I guess i could always play CarX maps as AC mods if i really wanted to.

Until DD wheel support is in, this game will stay uninstalled and the review not so positive.
Hopefully in the near future i'll have a reason to change that.

Having same issue. Peddles work shifter works everything but the steering wheel. Recognizes it on main page but refuses to calibrate.
