Questions about multiplayer

Hey,

I tried to play with a friend a few days ago but the online seems a bit clunky:
- Is there any kind of matchmaking or group play outside of lobbies ?
- If not, and there is only lobbies, is there a way to switch maps and/or cars directly from a lobby ? I have seen there are some map loader but for custom maps, anything that would allow to switch between official maps ?
- Why do maps in online lobbies do not allow you to run the entire track ? There seem to only be extremely small events that only cover a small portion of each map. Can't I just run the same events than in solo, but with a friend ?

-The lobbies is everything and all. This is basicly Steep but in car format, aka make your own content
-If you have map selection option on, you can initiate a vote inside lobby for map change. if the vote is passed the map changes.
-no way to change cars inside a lobby.
-Dont quite understand you map issue. If you refer to the comps, then that is how drifting comps works IRL, 2-4 turns only.

Thanks. What I mean for the last one is for example if I play the first map "Parking A" and try to create a drift event, there is only 3 options (small A B C). Is there a way to run a drift event on the entire map ?

No, as said, that is how drift competitions are by design IRL, hit up any D1 drift competitons events on youtube and you will see.

next best thing would be what you basicly do in any lobby, do a Train, but it will never be a score competition, just free roam.
