Minimizing the game causes extreme frame drop

I tested this out in fullscreen and window mode and both times whenever I minimize the game and go back to it the frames have dropped significantly in the 20fps range and it doesn't get any higher than that.

normally I'm getting over 100fps if I don't minimize the game but sometimes I have to do things between drift sessions. Is this a common problem for other people? It didn't do this a few patches ago but now it's really starting to agitate me.

ye have same lol i usually get 40-60 fps (1440x900 res screen) (i play on 800x600 ingame and everything lowest qual.) but whenever i minimize and go back, sometimes the screen res is put back to original res, and if i put res back to what i used (800x600) i have significant amount of fps less...

Huh... yeah my resoluation 3440x1440 I used to play on a 1920x1080 monitor and didn't have this problem but that was also before the most recent patches.

well idk if devs will give this immediate attention :/ they are probably primarily focusing on mod support (hopefully with seam workshop) and optimization and new cars... i hope mod support for maps will come too or a map creator lol the fps drops regularly for me.. i have same fps on most maps but id like it if they gave u more graphical options such as no trees or no skidmarks or how good qual shadows instead of yes/no.. i have bad pc and i hope devs keep that in mind lol fps is required to be min 30 fps cuz its an arcade "race" game... playing with 30fps is fine for me, but 45 fps is better.. and due not fully optimized game performance thats not always the case :/
