I don't see how replacing the text affects the actual gameplay. I.e. actually changing the car from a rwd to an awd car in the game

yup it does, for example go into dtm46 ultimate setup file and turn that file into text and then change the car from rwd to awd its simple

you can find those files in resources.assets

actualy , i opened the file and it was full of weird symbols , i think devs dont allow to change anything anymore

you need some special progarm for that, for exapmle DevXUnityUnpackerTools
