yes please
Also, I think the steering assist tries to keep the car at a certain angle and that is not what I want. It's impossible to get big angle with steering assist because even when you transition really hard the assist pulls the car back to the angle it wants to hold.

I want steering assist that ONLY follows caster and nothing else. Drift Streets Japan is a really crappy game in a lot of ways, but The steering assist in that game is really good, just what I need.

you can change this by ajusting front and rear stabilizers under suspension settings. having your car not hold enough means you have those settings too high. too low and you will spin out. have a play.

Thanks I will check it out. I usually like kind of an understeery setup so it could help.

Okay yes, that makes quite a bit of difference. So now I will have to use different cars when I play with wheel or with controller because I use completely different setups.

I actually not only used roll bars but did almost everything to make the car more oversteered apart from tire pressure and width. Min/Max the roll bars and all the other things in a balanced way but all pointing to oversteer so: rear lower than front, smaller rims, harder springs and shocks.

Now it is reasonably doable so I can get used to it. Still, it looks like steering assist allows absolutely NO slide in the front wheels, which I think is too much. In Forza they really nailed limited steering based on slip angle and there the steering allows a little bit of understeer before the wheel stops turning. If you want to grip the tightest line you have to use the left stick 90-95% instead of 100%. This gives that little bit of extra freedom that makes it perfect.

If we had a slider for steering assist we could dial it in to fit our individual styles best, so that would still be the ideal solution I think.

we still need this, of a 'low' setting for steering assist maybe. Right now it feels like you're driving with the brakes permanently on if you turn off settring assist, and if you turn it on the car won't let you use the steering.
