Electrical generator, not electronical.

i chopped up all wooden boxes. i cant chop down a bed (it doesnt show me that option) and even if it would show me that option, my character has to sleep every 5 minutes which pretty much sucks.
i played the game for 3 hours now and i put my character to bed for like 10 times, i also cooked food for like 10 times and in the time inbetween those two actions i tried not to freeze to death by burning the blanks i could find on the map.
Just closing all windows and doors is enough to not get hypothermia, stoking ovens is rarely required, do it only when you plan to stop for a long time in that house, usually that's for sleeping. And try to setup some of the central houses on the map as your temporary base while you scavenge all others.
And don't sleep too often, sleep only to get rid of the most nasty madnesses.
Also don't fix all generators. If you're having trouble noticing things in the dark - unlock and use Olga.
Unlock Maria and use her cocktails to keep the stamina up when you don't have time to sleep now.
See Steam guides maybe as well.
Adapt or die.
so you wanna tell me the game allows you to burn and use ressource you actually NEED to proceed to the next area? so now the game just says "trololololol you burned to many planks now no you cant proceed trololololol" or what?
and what about pulling 3 switches in a given time with just one character alive?
so again the game says "trololololol you will never leave this part of the map, cause your lone survivor cant pull all levers in time, trolololololol"
what kind of stupid game mechanics is this?
It's not a quest, you're not supposed to get to the end in the first, second, maybe even 5th-10th time. You learn, you adapt, you get better and then you succeed.
Also unlocking some character sure helps, like Maria for a start.
> and what about pulling 3 switches in a given time with just one character alive?
You ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and couldn't keep the other character survive, now you should start again. Have you never played roguelites with permadeath before? It seems they're not for you at all, avoid them in the future.
> what kind of stupid game mechanics is this?
Don't blame the game, blame the player. The game is fun for those who enjoy those mechanics and like to adapt their playstyle to make it effective. You expected to be successful on the first try.
i tell you whats the problem, problem is not people die and you cant advance, problem is:
lets say they die in "Zone 2", you can still complete "Zone 2", you can also waste another hour and complete "Zone 3" with a lone survivor, and than in "Zone 4" the game says "trololololol you lost your survivors 2 zones before, you played the last hour completing those 2 zones for nothing, cause now in zone 4 you need 3 survivors but you already lost them in zone 2, trolololololol"
yes you are right, games with stupid mechanics like this are not for me, you are absolutely damn right.
Games where you need to git gud are not for you, go back to casual Farm Frenzy and COD/BF/another mainstream no-brainer ♥♥♥♥.
no, im just not interested in games that try to troll me.
the game already knew in Zone 2 "this guy cant complete the game due to needing 3 people to pull the lever in zone 4, but lets troll him hard and let him still complete zone 2 & 3 and wasting his time"
No, the game didn't know, next zone is generated randomly and some of the can be done with a single survivor. It's a way to balance the game, because otherwise you could save a lot of stuff if you only needed to feed/etc a single survivor, would be no reason to keep others alive (aside from their special skills).
So keep everyone alive — problem solved.
the generated maps should depend on the amount of survivors at the start of the map.
every map should be generated that it is completable with the amount of survivors you have when entering the map.
everything else is plain stupid.
you should be able to solve a map when you can enter it.
if zone 4 gets generated and you cant complete the zone cause of survivors you lost in zone 2, thatn something is going wrong.
its not a question of gitgud, because no matter how gud i git, the map is already unsolveable from the beginning.
a map must be solved with the survivors you have when entering the map.
you cant generate a 3 switch map when player enters the map with just one player left.
this is an absolutely stupid mechanic, it is absolutely stupid to render unsolveable maps from the start.
