Returning the necklace

Hi. Does anyone know how to return the necklace in Chapter 1? I’m completely stuck. :(

Hi!

My advice is based on my playthrough of the game, so different choices might change the steps you have to follow.

Assuming you blamed Kelsi for breaking the bottle like I did, I think you first have to make up with Kelsi by showing her the baby chicks, which you can encourage to follow you by going up to them and whistling. (You have to read the note in one of the bedrooms of the Dunnet farmhouse to be able to do this.)

Once Kelsi forgives you, talk to her again and she'll reveal she accidentally took the necklace with her back to the village. (I assume if you let Graham take the blame for the bottle, she will not be angry with you and you don't have to show her the chicks first.)

You can then offer to take it back to Byrne for her, and either 1) knock on his door to return it personally or 2) leave it outside for him to find.
