Three of the Festival games require skill -- except for the turtle races. Am I missing something?
The victory possibility seems completely arbitrary and randomized. No matter how quickly I hit the buttons, one of the other turtles will zoom ahead. I'm currently on year 3, which means it's my third Summer Festival, and I've tried this year's race four times so far. It seems next to impossible to get a full 9-token run!

Maybe something is bugged with your game? I made a video so you can check

Belated: I have too (finally), but it seems to be entirely random. Even if I get the timing perfect, sometimes my chosen turtle will sprint for a fraction of a second, sometimes it'll cover half the run in two prompts. It's so arbitrary, and I just wanted to know if it was something I'm doing wrong.

Don't tell someone they don't deserve life because they can't win a game, it's extremely rude and it can drive a person to killing themselves if their mental health is bad.

Gonna necro, since i was wondering what was up. While i didn't check the code itself to verify this (which is actually easy to do using tools meant for Undertale mods, but there's alot of code to go through), it would seem that which turtle gets a huge boost is determined by some sort of seed. After restarting enough times, i figured out for me the pattern is ABC. Some others commented AAA and CCC. There is indeed a "playerrandomnumber" on line 2823 of the save files stored in base64 indicating to me that this and other events will indeed use this seed. Not sure if it takes time passed into account or if this is "per world."
