Oh boy ladybugs
I literally have the game open with my cat sitting in the middle of the temple during the festival just...waiting for a blue ladybug. It's the last thing I need for the story but the "desire sensor" is off the charts on my luck right now because I've legit had my cat sitting here/walking in circles for two hours now and not a single blue lady bug has so much as grazed by my screen.

So, how goes the tales of you guys' luck in getting the story items?

Yep. That was tempting. Then I said to myself “But this is the perfect time to find one since time doesn’t pass! I should get the paw token instead of wasting my festival coins.” And now I’m here, lol.

but it is pretty easy to get more tokens, and you can still find some power paws around, like in fallen giant.

There's a limit to how many tokens you can get during every festival.
And I've gotten every power paw available outside of festivals (aside from the Island Mine one). The Spring festival one was my last one in the main map.
Eventually I just kinda reloaded anyways and bought the ladybug instead. I can get the power paw next in-game year I suppose.

...Also I was kinda hoping this could be a fun topic about the luck of everyone in getting rare items one way or another. So far it's just me trying to explain my game choices, lol. Anyone got any tales to tell?

I actually got pretty lucky when I found the rare conch shell and blue ladybug out in the wild. Although, it was a different story with tiger butterflies and salmon at the time. I was nearly in tears because I had spent hours and many ingame seasons trying to find those little buggers

One time I was hunting, and I found a blue jay. I caught it, and found a cardinal. I missed that one, but as I was scratching I accidentally hit a blue lady bug. I had already gotten one for the quest, so I sold it 😂

Y’all out here getting triple “ultra rare”s at once...Lend me some of your luck. I’ll pay you in Mews, lol.

I have way to many blujays and cardinals, they decorate my den.. I also missed a lunar butterfly once :( i actually first found one WHEN I HAD THE QUESTS UNLOCKED, but sold it.. so uh.. FESTIVAL MY WAY TO VICTORY.

Maybe it's a psychological thing, but now that the quest is over I see the rares all the time lol. I see tiger butterflies a lot, salmon popping up where I've never seen them, cardinals, and bluejays. (I caught 2 blue jays in 1 season)

Maybe your hunting skill is higher so you see more things? I dunno if it really works that way.

Once I hunted for a blue ladybug and found one first try.
