Has anyone actually *tried* the farming for rare bugs at the seasonal festivals?
I am stuck trying to get the Blue Ladybug (Spring) and the Lunar Butterfly (Summer).
It has been suggested to "farm" them at the Spring/Summer festival, as time and hunger freeze.
My attempts, as others have also stated, have only yielded me a "sad pile of dead bugs".

I want to know, has anyone been successful in farming the rare bugs at the seasonal festivals?
It would at least be confirmation that the rare bugs actually appear at the festivals and it's possible to get them there.
If so, do you have an estimate of how long it took you?

I found a bluelady bug at a festival. However it literally took me 3 and half hours. Basically i find it way to annoying to look for any of the rare bugs. it takes forever. Whats sad is my save is on the beginning of year 10. In all this time. Im only just now finding a blue ladybug.

Random question but I always see people refer to farming at the festivals, how do you go about farming? I've been to the summer festival once but the only thing I noticed was participating in the turtle race, was I missing something else!?

What we mean when we refer to that, is to run around in the festival withought leaving and catching a bunch of bugs. over time they will just keep spawning, and since time and hunger are frozen during the festival, this is why we do this specificallty then.

Farming is just walking around the temple during festivals and just keeping an eye out for the insect you are looking for. No one's telling you to stick around and find them forever. You can just buy one for 7 Festival Tokens after earning them from the games.

Your point is for the most part correct except, buying them doesnt award the acheivement, which is honestly the main purpose of spending the time to farm them. I recommend buying them for the main quest but to get the acheivements you must actually catch the bug.

THANK YOU!!! :8bitheart:

I just wanted to make sure it was possible before I spent that long looking, only to find out it they don't appear there for some reason.
I tried for maybe an hour, but it seems like I just have to stick it out longer.
I agree that's pretty annoying but at least I would now I am able to get it instead of waiting for another year for Spring to come again.
