Game wont Start! - Error Creating Process

Tried starting the game today and received the following error message:

Error creating process
<C:/Users/***USERNAME**/AppData/Local/Temp/IXP000.TMP/Cattails.exe> - Reason: Access is denied

I've unistalled / reinstalled the game.
Also I am locate Admin on the PC.
PC running latest ver of Windows 10.
Ive turned off UAC and still doesnt work.
Restarded PC
Installed latest version of nVidia Gforce drivers

I've gone in to the temp folder location and there seems to be 6 files:

Cattails.exe
D3DX9_43.dll
data.win
options.ini
splash.png
steam_api.dll

Not sure why the game is installing to the C drive where i have it steam installed on another drive. I know that a number of games do this, but this is the first time i've encountered this issue.

Any help from anyone who's experienced this problem / or the devs would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! Sorry to hear you're having issues starting the game.
Sounds like the primary issue is "Access is Denied." Usually you can fix this by finding the file in your folder (likely saved under Steam\Steam apps\common\Cattails), finding Cattails.exe, and right-clicking it then selecting "Run as Administrator..."

Hi Falcon Dev Team,

Yes, also done that, went to the Cattalis.exe file in the steam folder right clicked it and ran it as admin and it still comes up with the same error.

Is there any way for the game to run within steam folder directory in which it is installed and not having to be installed over on the C drive temp location? I don't understand why those files need to be running over in that section when they should be running in the steam apps location.

Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.

** Problem Solved **

After disabling my AV software, the game runs. Once it started up, I re-enabled the AV software, it then asked to trust the exe file in which I did.

Closed and started the game again and it runs without any issues.

Good to see my AV software is doing its job ;) but it does think that the Cattalis.exe is some sort of untrustworthy file / virus file.

Many antivirus programs default to defending against any and all unknown .exe files. Cattails is perfectly safe though :)

I am using 360 total security. Just disable whichever AV you have and then run the game once again. See if that works.

Does The Windows Defender or Advanced SystemCare count as AV?

I'd recommend closing up Windows Defender as well.
