Mods?
Hey everyone. Just installed and haven't launched yet, but this strikes me as the sort of game that lends itself to hyper-realism mods. Is there anything of quality out there?

After a quick look around the internet I've found that the developers intentionally set out to not make the game very mod freindly. Which is a shame, but not exactly odd in the age of micropayment DLCs.

When you look at the DLC they released (additional guns) it makes sense that they made it unfriendly to mods. People could churn out gun mods all day long, and then they'd have nothing to sell you.

It'd be nice if they'd took initiative and simply "one-upped" what your average modder could turn out. Say what you want about it and Bethesda, but Skyrim just celebrated it's 10000 mod. I have my own issues with Skyrim, but Bethesda's open-policy to their games is fantastic.

I would love to see a mod of SE where you're in a secure location and you have control of enemy spawning and a horde of weapons and explosives.

I found 1 mod, on ModDB, but it's only replacing people with zombies. Pretty useless.

Theoretically. Every game is easy to mod. I'm surprised no one's done a TexMod pack for this. You could do it yourself if you figure out where it stores the textures, convert them to the engines texfile format and then just rename them identically and then copy/paste over the top of the old textures.
