I got this game for free from a friend and I can't believe how bad it is! The bulletcam is fine, and sniping is somewhat decent, but everything else is trash. The game is beyond ugly, and it forces you into massive firefights where you have 50 guys shooting at you while you pop in and out of cover Gears of War style.

If you want an authentic sniping experience this is definitely not the place to find it. If they'd scrapped the campaign and kept the challenge maps, added stealth elements so missions did not devolve into hiding behind a rock for an hour, and dropped the price to $15, it'd be a decent game. But as it stands, this is one of the worst games I've played in recent years.

The bullet cam is cool for a while and the physics are alright but to be honest its not worth $15 either... I'll explain why:

1. Sniper Elite was a good game. SEv2 is ridiculous: a sniper game where most fighting is taking place in CQC/CQB environments.
2. SEv2 is scripted to the point its crazy! Played a co-up 'Bombing run' with a friend last night and an enemy spawned UNDERNEATH me, sending me flying!
3. The co-op tether is the worst I've seen in any game which becomes a deal-breaker in a sniper game.
4. You can't shoot through walls in most cases.
5. The AI troops are totally r3tarded! (why is r etarded a banned word?)
6. Game doesn't remember multiplayer loadout.
7. PLENTY of graphics bugs/issues.
8. As long as you don't trigger a perfect shot (i.e. bullet cam) the enemy can take 3, 4, 5 shots to the head.
9. Sniping Tiger tanks?!? Come on...

This isn't as bad as Sniper Ghost Warrior, which is THE WORST game I have ever played, but it's not very far behind. I don't understand why the "one man army" concept always seems to be standard in "sniper games" these days?

If you want a sniper experience, play Arma II with ACE mod. Now thats a challenge! Or play the original Sniper Elite game.

Mine does. Depending on which server you play, there will be things not allowed. It is remembering me the equipment I used in the last MP game I did.

I just bought this game when it was on sale, I somewhat enjoyed my playthrough, the part I didnt like is how un-real it was. I agree with basicly everything said here. Even though I still had a decent amount of fun and I appricate how they added alot of real factors (ex, sniper decoys) but besides the look, the gameplay isnt very good. I tried to play most of the game stealth wise, and the AI wasnt very good. even when set on hardest. During the factory/quarry mission thing, I had sniped the last guard, some how calling out EVERYONE IN THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FACTORY so I had to sit there popping in and out sniping up to 50+ nazis running out. So I hear sniper elite 1 here is more authentic to real sniper warfare? I must consider getting it....

Multiplayer and co-op in this game sucks big time.The only way this game shines above all other sniper games is single player.PERIOD.

They want $50 for the base game here in australia then for the other 4 DLC's they want another $23 on top ($73 total) that is just a joke, even seeing this game on sale in a bundle i wont be using the key from it - instead ill destroy it rather than give it away due to the pain i would inflict on letting anyone play this game (sic).

And for single player u need the DLC - seriously DLC for single player, come on ffs

I just spent 1 hour going through the landwehr canal stage totally stealth, i really enjoy this game. Yeah it isnt exactly realistic at times, but maybe if it was too real it wouldnt be fun, afterall it is a game.
