Best WW2 Graphics and very realistic.

Sniper elite 1 looks very dated and can't do widescreen, It would be fine if you had a low end computer or laptop.

But go for SE2 if you can far better.

LoL I have both of the sniper elite games Personaly I prefer sniper elite 1 better than 2 but still they are both great and I can run sniper elite 2 Maxed fine

Sniper Elite 1
- On hardest difficulty, it's hard as hell.
- Game made in 2005, graphics looking like PS2 and Xbox.
- All Open Maps
- 10 main missions, divided in multiple parts, making a total of 27 missions.
- Weapons choice is good. Switching weapons takes a long time.
- Health Regeneration must be done with items like Medikit and Bandage.
- AI are tough to beat, unpredictable.
- Not sure about the coop mode, it was split-screen on PS2.
- Bullet Cam is not X-Ray, and on human targets only.
- Really hard to be stealthy in this game.
- No DLCs

Sniper Elite V2
- On hardest difficulty, it is easier than the first game.
- Game made in 2012, graphics are awesome.
- All maps are linear - in my opinion, this is a shame.
- 10 main missions, kinda short.
- Weapons choice is higher for pistols, switching weapons is fast.
- Health Regeneration is made by cooldown overtime.
- AI are easier to understand than the first game.
- Coop mode is supported, and multiple gamemodes available.
- Bullet Cam is X-ray, on all kind of targets.
- Easy to be stealthy in this game.
- 4 DLCs, increasing the weapons choice and missions, which are mostly wide-open maps (like the first game.)

What I think for the game giving the hardest challenge, is the first one. Long to beat, multiple die and try, die and try are required to beat it on hardest difficulty.
The second one is great for the easier gameplay, improved cooperation, awesome multiplayer, and the numberous DLCs.
When I feel to get a challenge done, I play the first game, which is hard to complete in a first time try.
I love both, it's up to what you feel.

I got the CD for PC and PS2. I don't have a PS2 nor friend closer to me to play coop on split-screen. I played a long time with my dad at this game, from 2005 (I was 12). We were running through this whole thing on SE like easy stuff.

I've seen a lot of people say they prefer the first. I haven't played it, so I can't say, but what I do know is that SEv2 is one awesome game.

Indeed good sir Snier elite V2 is awsome i just like Sniper elite 1 a bi tmore cause it is more open and plus when you ahd to bring the wounded soldier back to the camp while underfire got me hooked ^_^

This was in the first mission for the GR. Yeah, Sniper Elite 1 is a hell of a good game.

I haven't played the first one but I have played the second and I seem to enjoy it. The game has it's flaws but it varies from person to person and is opinion based.

Indeed if you like a semi sorta none stop A.I. shooting range then it is a great game looks and runs and plays great

Rebellion should just upgrade SE to todays tech and release it at a decent price so everyone will buy it.

Sniper Elite 1 is more difficult on hardest setting. Health regeneration requires finding med packs/bandages whereas in Sniper Elite V2 it just requires cool time. Sniper Elite is more fun, if you like an open game but the DLCs for Sniper Elite V2 offer open missions. The graphics are far superior in V2 and bullet-cam xray is awesome. If you love sniper games with multiple weapons, trip wires, dynamite, landmines and gernades, these are games for you. If you like to drive vehicles or fly planes, you'll be disappointed. V2 has several accomplishment metals you can collect during the game for added challenges. I like then both but favor V2 because of the graphics and accomplishment metals.

Forgot to mention an added plus for V2 is ability to select the weapons you want to carry for each mission. I like trying different sniper rifles as each one responds a little different.
