Is there ANY way of knowing the distance of the target your looking at through the scope?

No if u use binoculars u can check distance.

You have to TAG the target, click "fire" on the target to tag,then you can read the target distance. This applies to targets only !!! You can't get a range on any old thing on the battlefield,the binoc's serves as a rangefinder in SEv1 !!!
