I have windows 10 and my game won't launch. I get an error, "Windows cannot acces the device, path, or files. You may not have appropriate permissions to access them." I'm the computer owner/admin, it's my Steam account, and no one else uses my computer. Is there a patch/fix to help on this? I used to have Windows 7, but I got 10 when it came out. Now SE v2 won't launch.

You can try to run the game as an administrator.

I get no option to run as administrator in the right-click sub-menu or any way to run in compatibility mode in the properties menu.

It is impossible, this option has to be in context menu of .exe file of the game. Go to game's folder, click with right mouse button on .exe file and this option is waiting there for you.

Same thing when I run as Admin, Windows cannot access.... After I click OK on that message, another message comes up right after, "Error launching the game: (0x000004c7)- The operation was canceled by the user."

And no compatibility option to run in 10. Only shows 98 up to 8.

Google up this error code in brackets and follow instructions which you will find.

Uninstalled the game and reinstalling to see if that will work. I'll post results.

Yeah, I found out it was my Avast Internet Security blocking the game. I haven't played it since before I got Wiondows 10.

Avast internet security blocks about 85 percent of all games out there !! I use Internet Security Plus put out by Webroot !!! Small footprint and allows you to play 100 percent of all games,but I'm still using Windows 7-64 bit !!!
