Sniper Elite V2

Can't aim or look around ?
I have been having a lot of issues with trying to actually manage to play the game. I can move my mouse and everything works perfectly fine while in the MENU's or at the start screen , but when I get in the game itself my mouse just does not allow me aim around and none of the buttons on my mouse will work for me to be able to shoot/aim.

EDIT: The fix for this has already been posted , everything is working fine now. Thanks for the help everyone :). If other players are having this issue maybe someone can post multiple different things to try to fix this so other players have something to look on to help them with this issue as well.

EDIT: For those saying it's an issue with the first mission just drop it already , i'm already past that and the problem was there when I went to play multiplayer and continue the rest of the singleplayer mission.

The only thing I can do is to equip the binoculars...

Try and restart steam.
Try and restart PC
or
Verify intgrity of the game cache. Right click game in library, properties.

V2 is working fine for me, it's Zombie army 1 and 2 which are still doing it. I have restarted, verified, reinstalled, repeated. I have emailed Rebellion and haven't received any kind of reply besides the generic auto-response.

No wonder they're giving this game out for free. It's freaking unplayable. Thanks Steam and Rellion.

Did everything you said and managed to get it working. ^_^ thanks for the help. I wonder if this is the case for everyone else and if that would get it to work , if not i'm curious as to what other things could be causing this issue in the first place.

Having the same problem, also tried a "challenges" map and then the keyboard worked but mouse was unresponsive. Verifying the game cache didn't seem to do anything.

yes, how do i mouselook?

EDIT: i can move on coop but i'm just standing still on singleplayer.

where is this game's config? which directory? i may just hafta fix it manually.

EDIT2: ok on console 'mlook' worked but i still cant walk LOL!

Ok, I know this sounds like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but it worked for me.

I just checked the Vsync option (or unchecked, I don't remember) in video configuration, and it works now, I don't know why. Why I did this? I already had walking problem in another game (The Darkness 2) and that was the solution.

Good luck, guys!

for singleplayer mode the very first thing you do is survey the area with binoculars and then itll give you the next tutorial objective, as for the other stuff i have no clue.

ITS THE MISSION. Do what it says. It locks the controls to force you to do what it wants in the first mission.
