so im fairly new to the game, and i forgot i had i could appraise scrolls. so im spamming through and i saw something with a blue SS pop up in the list but i cant find it in any class when i go to equip something. am i missing something?

its clothes or weapons and if not those two then its accesory
you see a (!) on new items

i just checked and nothing, i checked weapons for each class and clothes and accessories for something new or with the SS and nothing

There's also a possibility that you got the opposite gender's version of an armor.

is there a way to check that without resetting my character and i just checked tools, appearance and title just to be sure. still nothing unfortunately

You will have to spend 10k ryo to check and 20k to switch back if you want.
