defense class hashirama sword exploit

i don't know if this is a glitch or if it is something you should be able to do, but i was being stutter attacked by hashirama sword back to back infinitely . they start the attack and when it hits they reset and just keep hitting me with no break in the combo. Is this an exploit now? or has it been?

I luckily had purple lighting ever time he tried it after that with palm sage or something to compensate but if you don't have substitution it is going to killing you if nobody interrupts them. In my eyes it is kinda cheating. The user has to be on the ground to do it and it is a sweeping move (guessing the heavy attack).

Yeah, it's something silly, but atleast you understand that it's very possible to get out of it! :D

Always try to be conscious of your substitutions. Block and shift-dodge frequently. Jumping is rarely a bad evasive maneuver, etc! The basics are key to everything; especially unfamiliar situations that seem almost cheat-like, but totally aren't so long as you keep a level enough head.

ya i was running a build that kinda counters it from healer, purple lightning let me just take a few hits then when i realized what was going on i dipped lol. and i don't fight much without substitution available.
