Why you're not having fun in Shinobi Striker.
I've seen a lot of people ranting about this game in the steam discussions recently, and this isn't a very uncommon subject here. Let me tell you how to have the greatest experience playing this game. This is coming from a person who has only played this game and nothing else for the longest time.

1. Find a group of friends to play with. Shinobi Striker is a team-based game that requires people to work in sync with each other to win matches. There are many ways to find people to play with. I for one friend people in-game whom I would like to play with (click "Player account" beside their name and go to their Steam profile). Another way to find people is to use a platform like Discord, Teamspeak, or even Steam. Make a server or group, base it off NTBSS, and starting inviting people to join it. Some people in the community have created such things called "clans" where they invite people the same way, and then they rename their character's in-game. (Ex: Moon goes to IZA-Moon, "IZA" being the clan name).

2. Discuss playstyles and "create a character" builds. Once you have a group of people you like to talk to you can discuss how you are going to play the game. "Will we play casually, or be more competitive?". "What's the best build for Attack types?". Doing this sort of thing will really improve your game.

3. DON'T be a sore loser. It's kind of a rash way to put it, but many new players think that it's impossible to win against "4 stacks", and then they immediately put down the game. Don't worry people, we've all been there. Just chillax and forget about those pesky losses, once you get enough experience with the game you'll be able to beat those "4 stacks".

4. Try out everything in the game. When you're first starting out, you should at least try-out all the 4 classes. For example, you may be a good
healer, but maybe you're even better at hitting people from long ranged, as a Range type.

5. Let yourself be known. It's always fun to share your gameplay with others. Sharing your plays or ideas on platforms like YouTube or streaming to Twitch, or posting to reddit forum, are great ways to find people who truly love this game.

6. Have fun. A lot of people on here take this game as if it was real life. It is a somewhat competitive game, and I know how you might feel if you lose constantly, over and over again. It brings down your confidence and all that. Personally, I take pride in almost beating "try-hards", it just means that I'm improving. Shinobi Striker is meant to be a game where you can have fun teaming up with friends and fighting others who have the same intention.

If you ever have any questions about the game or just want to play with me, please join the Inazuma Discord server: https://discord.gg/yhpS6jr
We have lots of active players on there and we're all about having fun.

As the person who posted the most recent rant about this game, here’s my take on your points:

1. Playing with friends is the main point of this game. But it usually ends up in 2 scenarios: either our team of newish players gets completely stomped by the other team of experienced players; or I play along some experienced players and do absolutely nothing useful while they win the match for me. Neither scenario is fun.
In fact, the last time I was on a team with good players, the enemy team noticed I’m new and focused me so badly, I died maybe 5 times in a minute, making my team lose. Again, a scenario that is not fun for anyone.

2. Trying out different builds is honestly really fun and is the only reason I’m still playing as this can be done in PVE.

3. I still consider myself new, but I do have almost 50 hours in this game so I’m not a complete noob. When I started I used to be able to win some of the matches, mostly thanks to some more experienced teammates, or by going against new players such as myself.
Now? I haven’t even been able to completely the win 5 matches weekly mission. I seriously can’t win anything.
So it is really hard to forget your losses when it’s all you are getting from this game.
Keep fighting and eventually you’ll be experienced enough to win? At the moment I can’t see myself standing up to the long time players any time soon. A journey that’s only frustrating with no end in sight. I might as well go play something that’s actually fun now, right at this moment.

4. Not much to say here, I’ve played long enough to try all classes out. I love playing a Healer, I like Range types. I’m currently trying Defense type in PVE and if we have a healer I take him to PVP as well. Attack types don’t seem to be my thing, but I still pick it maybe once a day. Same with point 2, it is fun to diversify when you play.

5. I actually do like reading or watching videos of other people’s builds or cool moments. Sadly, all I can provide is maybe 20+ screenshots or videos of me getting groped by tentacles and burned alive.
Or I can start posting my post game scores, where the matches barely last 2 minutes and our team maybe have a combined 1 kill during that if we’re lucky. Those would be fun to see, right?

6. Not having fun is the issue. The solution won’t be to just “have fun”. My confidence dropping after going on a week long losing streak isn’t that big of a deal, compared to my frustration growing.
You take pride in almost beating “try-hards”. I take pride if by the end I’m not 0-5 and the fight was longer than 2 minutes. Not exactly a thing me and my friends would brag about.

You said you have played this game for a long time. Obviously you have fun with this game and while I’m sure even you admit there are problems, you don’t end up frustrated every day.
Meanwhile I started a few weeks ago and on an average day I only have enough time to play 1-2 hours. I really enjoyed that ninja world league mode where it was free-for-all. But these team-based matches only really serve to further wind me up after a long day. There really is little reason for me to spend my very limited time on a game that just leaves me angry.

Sorry for ranting so much, I am very frustrated right now.

If there were more then two jutsu slots then everyone could combo into each one of them making it so your now easier to kill with only one combo. The main point is the game would become unbalanced pretty quickly.
