Is this game playable offline? Or is there a single player mode/story mode/free roaming?
What I said.

It's teeeeeeeeechnically playable offline; wouldn't recommend it for the purpose. You can play missions single player, but you'll miss out on basically the entire experience of the game. There may as well be no story, really, as the missions have nothing to do with eachother and are all VR simulations, though the game does little to address that fact apart from details toward the beginning of the game.

EDIT: The meat and potatoes are the PvP bits! Barring the stated details, it's still a fun game overall, but probably not what you're looking for. There is no freeroam, really.

I see. I was expecting this to be story rich games like the old PS2 ones. But I read about this game being dead online and in my country (Philippines) I doubt this made enough sales. Tekken is still alive and growing though here. What's with the hate if multiplayer is fun when there's people? Aside from the boring quests you could do solo

I assume it's largely because it's just not as alive as people would be hoping. The game does have its moments where it feels impossible to find people in matchmaking when you play at an off hour for your timezone/region. Like, but other than that, I guess some people don't like it 'cause they experience lag or othersuch technical issues and hate it immediately. Or get tired of the lack of stages/general content.

Oh okay.. I thought it's like Tekken, the connection is only good when you are close to each other. This is actually good news.
