Possible IDP.Generic Infection

Hey, my viruscanner warned me off a IDP.Generic infection when I started this game. Might want to contact Avast to have them check it out, and get your game logged as a false positive. (I'm assuming there is no game that installs a virus on steam).

Ow no problem, not your fault. Happens all the time. While compiling and then running CDDA (Cataclysm dark days ahead) Avast also always has a heart attack. And it happens with other games as well. for example: https://steamcommunity.com/app/466560/discussions/0/135512133550761632/

You got to expect some false positives with virus scanners. I would be worried if the virusscanner never had one tbh.

So you're saying that we can just ignore or whitelist the idp generic ? 'Cause i just had the same issue

I ignored it, which might be a mistake. Dunno about that. (the devs could be malf and have included malware, or they might be upstanding citizens and have gotten an infection, or it is a false positive).

I mean alot of people seems to enjoy the game, I tried to look it up but none showed up ( there are things about idp generic but nothing about the game that is suspicious ) I wanna play this game but don't wanna destroy my lovely pc at the same time.

Well, seeing as it is a generic error, it gets reported all over the place, I'm assuming it is a false positive. I checked virustotal and none of the 59 scanners detected a virus. The think that should be done is upload the exe to the avast team, and they should analize why it is happening (I edited the link for reporting in my first post). But as I'm not the dev, im not gonna spread the .exe. Copyright and all that, so it is up to them imho.
