Sure, you might (key word might) keep the game online for a decent number of years, but what happens when the game inevitably does go down? Because always-online is always a nightmare for preservation. When (not if, when) an always-online game's servers go down, that game is no longer playable even in singleplayer. If that's what I'd have to look forward to, then I'm not giving you money and I will advocate for nobody else to either.
I and many others cannot stand always-online DRM, and your response comes off as brushing the issue under the rug and ignoring it.
I understand your concerns, but Gearbox is assisting us in publishing the game, and our servers are not theirs. We can assure you that our servers will not be shut down, and we are working to deliver a multiplayer online game as we have always dreamed of and developed from the beginning to be enjoyed by the community.
Our intention with Legend is to foster connections among the community members and create an online environment where everyone can build memories, much like us developers have experienced in games such as Ragnarok Online, WoW, and many others.
Our vision for Legend has been this from the start, but we understand that not everyone may enjoy online games. We're working to create a healthy and friendly community, and if you decide to give our game a chance, we hope you have fun. We are always open to questions and suggestions.
Lying by omission is still a lie.
When the servers are down, the game is too. If the case were positive for your employer and for customers, you would have said so. Instead you are trying to manipulate and gaslight people.
Take a look in a mirror and ask yourself what kind of person you want to be and why are you are choosing to not be that person.
Lol, wtf dude. They built a MMO. They *wanted* to build an MMO. That, near as I can tell, was always the intention. MMOs have downsides, and requiring a connection to a central server is usually one of them. Just because MMOs aren't for you doesn't mean you need to call LucyG's moral fiber into question.
Go outside and lay in the grass or something, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
You ignored the point. We both read a lie in service of attempting to victimize us. Immoral action does not cease to be immoral if the victim has an orthogonal taste.
This isn't an MMO. If what you said was true and this was an MMO, then they could have simply said what you did, but they didn't. Ask yourself why they chose not to. Ask yourself why you are going to bat for them.
