Interesting, and maybe just something we missed in dev. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll add it to the list of issues that aren't critical, but should be looked at :)
You do get the date via Bakays medical report. If you use that date on the schools search page for attendence, then you'll see that Bakays daughter was attending the school.
The conflicting message, that his daughter wasn't attending school that day, came from some other place... not exactly sure where.
Uh...i'm not 100% sure anymore where exactly i got that from. There was a blog which Bakay and his brother did, where they talked about their journey from Prava to the Nation. In one of those articles it's mentioned that Bakay was injured, because of the bombings. I think that made the medical report available
Oh, sorry, my fault. Yes, i guess i mixed them up. Oops ^^
"lost his ability to walk due to being buried under concrete blocks after bombing of school in Prava", gained from Vhart's medical page, and "let install an autonomous shelter in the school's library" from the school news page. This in turn unlocks the People's Voice page: "An Unsung Hero that you need to know about." From there, upload the "saved lives of students from an attack on his school" to unlock the discussion page about that article, which in turn includes a newspaper link, which gives the date of the incident. FROM THERE, you can plug it into the school attendance page and see it.
Actually, the big spoiler-text I just did should solve most of your problems, BB. Or at least, it gets you the conflicting statements.
The key point for "connection" is "Vhart believes Bakay was involved in the bombing" (which I believe shows up relatively early on? I don't recall precisely when, but it eventually shows up in one of the People's Voice comment pages) and one set of conflicting statements on whether Bakay actually was or not. There are actually two potential sets of statements to use here, though the innocent options for both the sets require you to have at least gotten An Unsung Hero's comment page.
