a horrify event in mining station. abomination creature made of dead human parts. the dead space vibes are all over it.

ridley should be ashame. this whole spcae scifi horror short film made whole covenant movie look lame by comparison.

Zygote is one of the strongest so far. Really interested in knowing more of the background behind the incident and the company. From the reference to asteroid mining, I wonder if this flashing quartz was brought to Earth from one of them. Indeed, the short felt very much like what I know of the film(s) The Thing, or at least the story The Things[clarkesworldmagazine.com] told from its perspective.

In the behind the scenes video on their youtube page they say a meteor impacted North America destroying a lot of the US along with Canada but brought with it many new alloys that make mining companies extremely wealthy and powerful. Its stated that the "quartz creature" was brought along with it.

Also agreed. Someone please take the Alien franchise away from Ridley Scott. IMO the creatures from Firebase could pass for Deadspace monsters if they were darker in color. The first time I saw them I was reminded of Deadspace.

Awesome! Thanks for clarifying that. Was wondering about atmosphere quality when they needed the masks. Seemed far too much for simply heavy, windy weather.
