the gameplay itself will be poor / unpolished, the scenario pretty basic but the girl will be in character, ie, yes, lovable
If you're in for the nep girls, you're better of watching the game on youtube.
Not going to win any award for the combat or mp, its very basic and strip down.
If you likes to be tri-hard this game isn't for you imo, its very casual.
Like the LazyNeppy said,it's the second best Neptunia game after VII.
I really wish the multiplayer worked; that I wasn't lied to like this.
The entire premise is that they are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around playing an mmo together, so there really is no significant connection to the plots of the main games. There are basic introductions for the main characters, and occasional clarification of points that would be confusing to a newcomer (via blatant fourth wall shattering by Neptune, of course)
Starting the series on this game would be fine, but to fully appreciate it I would reccomend playing Re;Birth1 and/or watching the Hyperdimension Neptunia animation first.
