question : Multiplayer and save file

hello, i have question. i have played exclusively online with my friend hosting. if i start a solo game, will i have my stats and items from the multiplayer session? or will it be starting a new character? will this overwrite my online character or does my online character file live exclusively on my friend's world save file?

As far as I know, your character is saved on the host side. So basically he can continue your session solo, but if you want to play solo you have to start a new game/character.
