How the heck are you supposed to store stuff?

Where am I supposed to store the stuff I collect in the beginning?
There are no natural places where I can store stuff, and there's no storage I can craft? When I accumulate too many materials, I can't run.
This game is hard, and I feel like this is the straw that breaks the player's back.

I'm laughing because I know you didn't even try to google this. It's not necessarily that the game is hard, you are just a bit... slow.

But, since you took the extra time and effort and waited 4 hours when you could have easily figured this out on your own... Go to your inventory while in your base, you will see an extra tab to the top-right and can store your stuff there.
