Will a dog help me?

Hi! :)
I bought a puppy (looks like a grown doggo) from Langos..
Will he "grow up" someday and help me at fighting or something like that? :D
Or is it just money and time wasting...? (I don't need the moral boost etc)

Tell Drax you have a dog, he tells you about the benefits of owning such a pet.

- warmth buff (not so useful)
- fills morale
- confidence buff (not so useful)
- fills willpower

Once you have 6 willpower the game opens up and makes the dog very useful to refill willpower. The other options the dog have are cr*p IMO. I personally use willpower to reveal dumpsters in one go making loots runs fast. Some people also use willpower on locks and conversation. Getting food is cheap since you just need to raid orange dumpsters and you will be swimming in food. Stealing you can get some dog food too.

Yeah, best part of the doggo is the free Willpower refills, makes most of the late game a breeze instead of revealing every dumpsters manually

Six willpower will reveal large dumpsters when you press "Q" and makes looting a quick activity. Get the willpower back almost immediately by interacting with your dog. Saving around 90 percent of time spent compared to manual reveal (and risk of shrapnel)
