How To Stash

Love this game! I've read about people storing items in a stash in the base. Can someone please tell me how you obtain / do this. My inventory is getting really full and I don't know how to drop or store items.

I figured it out, but in case any one searches this in the future. There is a new tab in your inventory of a box icon when you are in your base. I'm not sure if you have to have some furniture upgraded to have storage or not, but I did do that before I found the stash tab. Enter build mode and press Q to "inspect" a piece of furniture then upgrade.

Your shelter will have a very small storage area by default. Every shelter item with an open box icon will add to that. There seems to be a glitch that will let you go over the weight/item limit but it only works on items currently in storage. You can add whatever items you like until you hit the limit. After that, you can only add to the number of whatever items are in storage aka adding 250 useless junk to the 50 already in storage.

I tend to put my building materials in there as they can add up quick. 150 nails doesn't sound like much but it frees up a lot of your personal storage limit.

by default you can store 10 items in shelter storage... more you equip your shelter with stuff (furniture and structures) you can upgrade storage +10,+20,+30 items...
