You can turn off vsync in the video menu to get a variable framerate. If you are running a 1080, it should be crazy fast.

That was first thing I did. Never play with vsync

Navigate to \AppData\Local\TheFidelioIncident\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Open Engine.ini in a text editor. At the end of the file add these lines:

[/script/engine.engine]
bSmoothFrameRate=false
MinDesiredFrameRate=60
SmoothedFrameRateRange=(LowerBound=(Type=”ERangeBoundTypes::Inclusive”,Value=60),UpperBound=(Type=”ERangeBoundTypes::Exclusive”,Value=144))

For Vsync on you would change bSmoothFrameRate to true and for any other refresh rate change the upper bound value

I've got it working by editing the engine.ini - but turning off v-sync in the game doesn't work for me. You'll still be locked at 60

This worked for me, thanks!

and that's bad. no vsync + (fps>refresh) = tearing. And also no vsync = gpu 100% load at all times if you don't limit the framerate. Disabling vsync makes sense only if you can live with tearing, or use fast sync, or have a gsync monitor where framerate < refresh.

Yep, that fix worked for me too!

You know what is really bad? Your knowledge. Tearing does not exist is display you can have 180 hz. I playing only fast person shooter and i know what i say in contrast to you. You propably have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 60 hz display and thats why you have tearing. My display have g-sync and i dont use it because input lag and no effect at all. If you want check my monitor is asus rog pg248q

I also have a gsync screen. And tearing can occur even at 144Hz, you just notice it less (I notice it). But your advice in your post was "never play with vsync" which is not a good advice for people who don't know what vsync does and I explained why. In any case even if you disabled vsync on a gsync screen, you would have tearing when framerate > refresh (because gsync doesn't engage), and you would have 100% gpu load at all times which is useless at framerates above the refresh. But of course you know everything and the others don't know anything at all. Because you play "fast person shooter".

What is wrong with 100% gpu load? If game not force gpu to 100% its called bad optimization. You need use some of meter to understand this. -.-
