Dedicated Server Download Gone?
Hi All,

I'm hoping to start playing MNC at a LAN party with friends, and have been trying for over a week to download the dedicated server.

I keep getting this error message:

"No Steam content servers are currently configured to deliver content for this game. This will be corrected soon. Please try again in a few minutes."

I've tried the suggested SteamSupport solution of switching server locations (been around Europe and the US), but no luck. And this has been going on for a week.

Has the dedicated server been permanently removed from downloads?

I can confirm this too.

Where is it that you're looking for the dedicated server download?
Is it still part of the HLDS tool that's mentioned here:

?

Looks to be an error on Steams part then (I went to Library->Tools->Monday Night Combat Dedicated Server).

Strange... I don't get the error you describe... it tells me that the download was completed and that the 'game' is ready to play... however 0bytes were downloaded.

Even still, not sure if this is an error. I know that Uber made a lot of changes to the dedicated server when they were developing it. I could be wrong, but I think at one point in time, we were supposed to download it the way you describe, and then they made some changes that required that we use the HLDS tool that I linked to. It's been awhile since I last tried setting up a dedicated server for MNC though, so I could be mistaken.

Either way, I'm having problems getting an MNC dedicated server up and running using the HLDS tool also. Just fired off an email to support at uberent dot com. I'll post back here if I get a response. Maybe you guys could also.

According to the SteamCMD page all Steam games that used HLDSUpdateTool will eventually use SteamCMD.

It seems like SteamCMD is essentially doing the same thing that my download from Library/Tools was doing.

Hmmm... I think I'm onto something that confirms which came first... the HLDS tool or the Library/Tools download.

The library/tools download had a Steam ID of 63220.
The HLDS tool that I was trying to use to install the dedicated server had an ID of 63221.

I'm guessing that means it's newer... however, there's some bad news that I think confirms your suspicion that MNCDS is no longer available.

It looks like it was removed 8 months ago.

This just in from Uber:

"I had someone review the files and it looks like many of those are old files. It may also be the case that Steam has stopped hosting some of those files which may be the reason they're not downloading. I have someone checking in with Valve to see what we can do."

Valve is in the process of getting this fixed up for us.

Amazing!
Thanks for the good news UberGaf.
Good to see that you guys monitor these forums too BTW.

Looks like it's fixed. Steam is automatically downloading it for me now. I'll give it a try when it's done downloading

I can confirm that it's working now.
Thanks Uber and Valve.
