What happened?

I don't quite understand why MNC and SMNC are so dead... I've played SMNC for 500+ hours and I've never got bored of it, but then they had to close the servers... now MNC is dead. I really don't get it, this was the best game I've ever played in my entire life. Can someone tell me what has happened that these games died?

With the release of smnc the player-base of mnc got split and mnc also stopped getting updates by the developers. 1-2 years later they also stopped supporting smnc and without updates or advertisement, it was just a matter of time till both of them become a ghost town.

mnc only has fan hosted servers now and smnc got shut down completely by the developers. Both games being made by an indie developer that most people never heard of doesn't help.

Unfortunately when I bought the game it was already on its last leg. Such a shame because it is awesome but no players...

Both games have their problems. They're not perfect games by far. They do offer a very unique MOBA hybrid experience but nothing beyond a niche for most people. Both games suffer from poor coding and innumerable balance issues and both were essentially abandoned by the devs as works in progress.

Ill be honest, this game was one of my favorites when it was around... I played until it died... While I dont agree with Uber completely, the game for sure had a revolving door of balance issues.

Never actually played SMNC. I was surprised when MNC was suddenly gone tho. Was pretty cool, I thought more similar games would spawn from it. TF2 could make a mode like it too.
Smhw this style game never caught on. It's strange.

I remember playing this and Global Agenda with my friends. awesome game, i miss it.
