SoulWorker

Closers is better
Like most of you I followed this game on FB for months after they failed to make their Q4 2017 OB deadline.

I tried Closers but never got into it because I felt Soul Worker would be better.

Then the OB launched and I was hugely disappointed. You can tell the quality is severely lacking in everything from the hit detection, enemy animations, latency, content and fun factor.

You get 0 feedback when an enemy hits you which is in stark contrast to the feeling I get when I played Closers. In fact, the only thing this game has going for it is the 3rd person view and to some extent its art style.

It still looks abit too rough around the edges to truly shine and this is the same in the JP version which I also played prior.

Closers on the other hand looks and plays alot more polished which is funny seeing as I never noticed it until I had Soul Worker to compare it to.

I see people acting like this game is special but not only is it not, it is being run by a publisher who has come out the gate gouging it's new and supportive playerbase.

It does not bode well for the future of a game so lacking in content and polish.

My advice is to be smart, play the game if you like it but don't get drawn into it so early in its lifestyle by paying exorbitant sums to line this publisher's pockets.

I have seen many anime style MMO's die and its usually because the types of publishers who pick them up only care about milking their playerbase and it never works.

I haven't gotten to anywhere near endgame in closers as yet so I cant speak for then but at least where I am at now I've never felt the need to spend money so when I do I can do so just to support the game.

That's actually a fair point but Closer is closer to p2w in my opinion because the costume outfits that you can get in the cash shop comes with stats, for example the dark command set has more stats than a 3 star outfit you can find in the game

I played till lvl 65 when 65 was still the max so ya...

I only played for like 10 levels in Closers but was pretty boring, maybe it gets more fun to play at higher levels? All I remember is enemies had a lot of health and I barely had to move just press the skill buttons over and over until enemies died.
Closers got boring soo fast... Had high expectations for it as i spammed elsword for a while but.... Nah, I believe the ONLY thing closers is and will do better is PVP. Soul worker isnt too good in the PVP department.

I played the closed beta and I can also say that the game got pretty boring after a while. Closers and Soulworker maybe similar but they are way different also.

I've put a fair amount of time into Closers and reached level 70 and I now I found very little satisfaction in the combat. For every sector I didn't even have to think about what I was doing and all my attacks were controlled by my muscle memory. Personally, I find the difficulty in SoulWorkers very satisfying and the very hard boss fights keep me on my toes. I do start a dungeon with the same two skills but based on the situation I usually have to switch up my play style and stay alert. Well, that's it for my opinion and if you like Closers more that's fine by me.
