Lets say we're doing 100 damage with our weapon.
The attack hits 1 time, so the damage of this attack is
100 - (100 * 0.13) = 87 damage
Burn lasts for 3 seconds and ticks every second at 50% damage.
100 * .5 * 3 = 150 burn damage
Total damage: 237
Now for level 3:
100 - (100 * 0.49) = 51
100 * .62 * 3 = 186
Total damage: 237
So your damage is roughly the same. It's just changed to burning damage.
But Slash 'n' Dash hits about 5 times tho...Unless EVERY slash leaves a burning area.
And even if it hits only once (or if every slash leaves a DoT), it would basically mean you just waste 2 Skillpoints on... what? Burn Damage isn't even preferable afaik, since quicker bosses just charge out of it.
if this is not a bug (- signs supposed to be + sign) we might as well just dont upgrade to lvl 3
edit: link got cencored so it doesnt work
the issue in this thread is that the upgrade from 2 -> 3 does not benifit the skill at all and is a waste of 2 skill points. BUT in this case the total damage does not change. In general its better to do more burst damage from the initial hit than let the sustained burn damage do its job.
LuLz, top kek bruh.
I have seriously no idea who thought this was a good upgrade. Maybe initially the burn damage was a Health %, like with Arclight's Napalm?
