Immersive Camera? (first person/cockpit view)
This isn't exactly super necessary but I personally really enjoy in mech games when I can get a personal view inside the mechs cockpit during gameplay. I just like the feeling of being in a mech I guess.
It's far from necessary, this game already kicks a lot of butt but I always appreciate the inclusion of that function in mech games.

It's something we've thought of a lot.

There are some issues thou.
Just think of...opening the shield.
Zweihandsome 18 AGO 2017 a las 12:06 a. m.
I can imagine it would make some gameplay awkard and way harder but I think that I and likely others would appreciate it even if it did make things a bit more challenging.

It's not a matter of making things challenging.

I'm talking about having the visual completely occluded.
There are some shields that are quite big when opened.

This is true. If you were at liberty to you could have a function of making the shield transparent in first person or reangling the arm of the war tech.
I realise that the shield isn't the only issue but those are a couple of workarounds you could use if you wanted to implement a cockpit view.
If it's too hard I dont mind if you dont bother with it (I know its not easy making a game), the game is fantastic as is, I just wanted to put an idea out there.

I mean, it's a great idea and definitely something we wanted to do but considering the effort for just a visual diversity we think there are more urgent things to do at the current stage. I'm quite sure you agree.
Zweihandsome 18 AGO 2017 a las 12:20 a. m.
Definitely, I've seen some of your end goals for this game and that definitely takes priority. I'm sorry if it felt like I was pressuring you, I just wanted to make sure the idea was out there.

Don't worry and keep suggesting.

We've thought a lot of things for this game but we could have missed something, so every idea is precious to us.

yeah this game will be great with first person view .if i can suggest the first person view could be done with a point of view from the mid of the robot,(like gundam).

would be cool if it's possible to implement in the game

makes it mor challenging when you can't see so you have to use the shield smarter then just holding it standard up^^

Here's my input about the shield: if it's going to be Immersive then having it obscure your vision is one of the risks of having a nearly perfect block system. It keeps you from hiding behind the shield and it's part of sword and board combat. Alternatively it could use a separate camera feed from the other side of the shield.

this game's WT but in an MWO/hawken style game play (FPS)...but that's for an future WarTechFighter2:D could be a hit

It shouldn't obscure your vision because you're not supposed to hold it directly in front of your face all the time.

Plenty of games have done first person shields before without having them obscure your vision.

Sure but you want to cover your head considering there are bullets coming your way

Most of those games have been medieval settings where you're placing the shield into the path of an incoming sword or single arrow, not a spray of machinegun fire that you need to be covering your EVERYTHING against. It's a very different kind of shield use.
