Alien Swarm MapPack is a collection of custom maps, campaigns and enhancements for Valve's Alien Swarm, a popular 3rd-person co-op shooter video game, based on Source engine.

The MapPack adds new content to the game, hugely boosting the game's replay value, while not changing its natural gameplay. Extensive testing has been performed to ensure no compatibility issue between various content exists, and the MapPack is both server and client compliant, including popular server mods. Other maps and mods may or may not be compatible with it.

It is based on publicly accessible 3rd party's authored work, with respect to original author's rights and requests, currently featuring no modification to their work.

The MapPack will be maintained and updated for unforeseeable future, adding even more fun for all Alien Swarm fans over the entire world, so please stay tuned and report any issues and suggestions.

The Alien Swarm community will be thankful to have you include this MapPack on your Alien Swarm server! Also, please promote Alien Swarm to your co-op teammates whenever possible!

so, swarm armory is, it seems, finally gone. what now remains is our mappack, but b sure, we r not going anywhere.

with over 15000 http downloads, i can call this mappack a huge success!
and that doesn't include torrent downloads, either.
work on next version moves on, hopefully, for the holiday season.

Thank you a lot. Been having trouble to download it from site, so just started downloading it from .torrent. Mayve a 4 share link/dropbox, or something could help. If I manage to download it and everything works fine, maybe I'll keep a link alive somewhere else, with your permission, of course.

btw, moddb uses gamefront.com to host files. Recently gamefront has banned half of the world from downloading files. So sharing a torrent will be a good alternative for next releases.

moddb uses both gamefront and their own servers... as i specified on moddb comments entry.

in any case, u can repost the mappack archive wherever u want, as specified in its license. but, tnx for asking for a permission. we appreciate it.

and, ofc, torrent will always b used, as it is now.

the update to the mappack is expected to b released in following days.

map authors r advised to make any desired updates to their creation in following days, or to contact me, if they need more time, so their updates could b included in the next mappack version. this includes new releases too, if any r under development and nearing their completion.

also, if there r any maps/campaigns u think deserve to b in the mappack, b free 2 mention them.
