That said, if whoever makes Denuvo ever did go tits up and the servers died I'm sure the publisher would remove the crap.
Unfortunately, Denuvo...
Literally most games have Denuvo or another encryption anti-tamper / piracy / cheat software enabled on them its HOW they are enabled or used that make a difference, for the most part the harsher versions are used for online games with co-op or multiplayer.
if you don't want any DRM at all go to your PC Control panel and uninstall steam ... its DRM XD
Its a few lines of code that get patched to correctly disable Denuvo from there end (developer not Denuvo side , its not an issue ..."Only" an issue if the company goes belly up and no one is around to patch it, just look at the GameSpy saga .... now that was a ♥♥♥♥♥ show
There is no defending denuvo, it's bad overall for the consumer.
And if you think something like that can't happen, it happened just recently with one of the might & magic titles, with the DRM servers being taken down and rendering most of the game literally impossible to play, and instead of actually fixing it, the company, who is UBISOFT, just yanked the game from listings entirely, leaving people who do have the game, absolutely screwed.
Also uninstall Killing Floor 2 and no buy more games from Tripwire Interactive
