If you're the fearless type who can actually pull it off? Equip the fully upgraded Tiger Body and Fat Digestion at the very minimum, and then go to town hunting Sperm Whales in The Gulf; I have taken them down plenty of times with none of the individual set pieces equipped but still having organs equipped, which I typically tend to have Brutal Muscles, Advanced Sonar, and one of the Nutrient Digestion organs at minimum, and if you happen to own Truth Quest, the fourth organ slot you get at Level 35 and the increased cap at Level 40 will make things more manageable when it comes to Sperm Whales in The Gulf. They also spawn in Plover Island, but they and virtually everything else there are much higher level than the ones found in the base game's regions.

My strategy about sperm whales is keep them in your center of vision and circle them so you stay a distance away. They do two different charges. A short one to ram you but the other, when it tries to bite you, it will arc it's body first like it is charging up. If the name of the whale is showing, it will flash white and red. Dodge the attack and go on the offensive, two or three bites and dodge away before it counters. Get distance and repeat.

Tail whips that deal damage at a distance can help while your circle it.
