Yeah except the game decides you're targeting another soldier when your camera is clearly pointed at the tower.
Beat the quest and just beat another tower destruction quest and then my game crashed because of Unreal Engine error. Great!
The base game already had bad controls but this DLC seems to be doubling down on them and relying on them.
What were they thinking?
This is the definition of bad controls and lack of testing. The most simple task in the world made horribly frustrating because the targeting is automatic and clearly they didn't test it because it's impossible to target the tower from a reasonable angle. The objective is TARGET THE TOWER but the game rarely decides to target the tower. What a sick joke!
How are you meant to do this?! It's so frustrating!! Not a good start to the DLC
You'll be glad to know that there's more of the same quest later on. Enjoy!
And it still targets other Soldiers. Am about to throw in the towel - this is absolutely silly.
Yeah it's do-able but it amazes me that these quests made it through testing. How could a tester not see that these quests are extremely frustrating and reveal how bad the game's controls are?
Uh, honestly man, this either seems like a bug or user error. I went through the towers literally effortlessly, just toss things at it when it's highlighted. Jump if you need a clearer shot with less people on screen to distract the targeting.
Grab a thing -> hold aim -> look up at the tower -> jump optional -> release throw ONLY when the tower is highlighted.
If it targets something else it's a bug, if you're having troubles doing those steps then this seems like a classic "git gud" situation to me. You should be used to the (honestly not even bad) controls by the time you're at the DLC.
Except you can jump all you want and aim the camera perfectly at the tower and it still targets nearby soldiers. There is no "gitting gud" when the controls are automatic.
I got up to the DLC last boss in 4 hours, clearly I don't have skill issues. I just hate frustrating sections that weren't tested and bad controls.
I understand that. The targeting system is what I have issue with. It's just straight up bad controls.
