Truth Quest: Time trials questions
Hi everybody!

I ended up loving maneater, so I was so hype for the new DLC. However, the time trials have me worried. I dislike all mission on time, but time trials, especially in water with not the best operating shark ion the world, could be a nightmare. I saw some rings in the trailer and ring time trials is the absolute worst if executed wrong. Look at Spyro as an example. Literally the worst part of that game.

Can anybody tell me if they:

1. are a big part of the DLC?
2. are frustrating at all?

Easy, barely an inconvenience. Already did them all. The announcer though isn't accurate, you're speeding through all of them, but the announcer is just being random, sometimes saying you're doing bad.
Just use all max speed parts, fin though from the electic shark for evasion speed 70%, from mutations passive buff for speed, not the one that is for low health, land movement perk and the perk that lets most predators smaller than 90% of your size ignore you, the last one could be scan or whatever.

They're mostly easy and not that big of a part of the DLC. The hardest ones require you to jump out of the water.

Ring quest is super easy. However just reached a quest where you have to destroy a beacon by throwing things with your tailwhip, so the lack of targeting system is very irritating here.

There's a few time trials that are a bit rough (particularly the ones that have you jumping over, and occasionally getting stuck inside of shallow swimming pools), but for the most part they're OK.

Thanks everyone! I'm very happy to hear time trials isn't unbearable. And thanks to IchigoMait for the little guide! :D

The game has autolockon, you have to hold on R2 and L1 and keep some distance, don't spam it, unless you get the tail that let's you shoot atomic bullets.

You can get out of shallow swimming pools just by using jump (X) (whatever many times) and lunge (L2) in midair, R2 also helps along in midair. Use R1 only when in the water, never outside of the water as that will make a dodge move, instead of dashing forward. (though you can spam R1, but as long as you haven't used any other move to get outside of water.)

Also, if you struggle with them, switch to the shadow shark parts. That shark has the best speed. The time trials don't care what form you're in, so it's easier with that shark.

For me, the hardest part was the rings up on the bridges, which require jumping out of the water and then multi jumping in the air, at enough of an angle to get up on top of the bridge and through the ring. Easy to get it wrong, either at angle or not hitting jump at the right time.
