Sounds like the devs are having some tongue in cheek fun.
You can remove the wooden branch from your backside and enjoy videogames you know.
About 75% of the U.S. and about 90% of the U.K. as well as most of the civilized world finds feminism groan worthy, there's a reason women hate it and won't identify with it. It's bigoted and embarrassing. I'm personally really glad there's no male equivalent. There's no right or left here, it's pro-cringe/anti-cringe. Hell cringe can be a good source of entertainment if done right, but here it is not done right, it is just embarrassing.
Enjoy what? The repetitive left-click gameplay loop? There's no stick to remove, other than the one the cringe stick the devs are using to induce vomiting. Maybe if they'd spent more time developing the gameplay rather that shoehorning in feminist nonsense they'd have a more than mediocre game.
Feed & Gro Fish is more enjoyable than this because at least it lets you hit hilarious levels of hugeness, and it does so at a far more reasonable price, the devs are clearly up their own ass with the $50 price tag.
That's not true. lmao
yuo really should go out and take some fresh air, meet real people and get laid
So I get the cringe with shoehorned feminism in games that doesn't mesh and/or beats the player over the head. But after reading that article and looking back at my experiences with the game thus far...I think you and the author are over-reacting.
The third cave feminism is about the closest the game gets to referencing feminism, and its just a pun. The fact the player is a female shark is basically an afterthought. Sharks don't "look feminine" so I'm dumbfounded at what they are trying to say with the devs trying to make the shark look scarred and gruff/masculine. This is such a ridiculous thing to theorize. Sharks are not that sexually dimorphous outside of size.
If the shark happened to be male and nothing else was changed...that article would not exist. One ignorable pronoun that has no affect on the game. If you muted the narrator and turned off captions, you might never know it was a female shark. That's how dumb this is.
At a certain point you gotta realize you're picking hills to die on just because you want to "fight the good fight". This is a tiny, silly hill sir. Its feels a lot better to just let this crap go and focus on what makes you happy.
no
Lol.
Whenever you see a hardcore feminist speak, you laugh, and look away (also make sure you are in public view and around video cameras, I'll get to why in a moment), they have the idea in their head that men are all "men", "men over there", "men doing this and that".
So they're pretty extreme in sexism themselves, ironic, isn't it? (Sometimes I have a deep dark feeling that these movements are put into pla-)
anyway,
moving on, before she tries to get you thrown into a rapist hellhole prison cage with false accusations, keep that camera ready, and walk the ♥♥♥♥ away, you laugh but immediately walk as quickly and calmly as possible, most feminists, are ugly, why did you talk to one to begin with? She was the cashier? NO EXCUSE!!!!
