As for it being a reboot, I think it's even less than that: a joke of a wanna-be-JAWS.
At least JAWS had quality...
If the game looks good enough, I'll get it, though most likely only on sale as I already own the original Jaws Unleashed, and I haven't seen a single thing that would make me believe that this game is any better (aside from the obvious graphics boost).
from this trailer link below i found out its now coming to console ps4 and xbox one so until it eventualy comes out on steam where most of my games are ile play it on ps4. But yes jaws unleased was a awsome game and i wish they would re master it with todays graphics.

"Modernly polished"? I don't think it reaches that bar yet.
Seems like you have something against this game, my guess is that it's just because it's not on Steam for a year and it's gonna be on Epic and consoles soon. Any Jaws fan would be ecstatic to have another good shark game.
Lastly, how in the world do you know what level quality game this is when you have only seen pre-alpha footage and haven't played it. Seems like you have an agenda rather than being honest and being able to form any real opinion.
It's important to note that this game has just as much in common with Hungry Shark, Ecco The Dolphin: Defender Of The Future and Depth as it does with Jaws Unleashed but this game definitely has more efforts put into story, combat, world, etc.
As someone who owns all the games mentioned, I can tell you that this game has enough to make it different, to make it set apart from being Jaws Unleashed 2 so don't kid yourself by thinking this is just a "If Jaws Unleashed was made in 2020". This ISN'T Jaws and lacking the license has given the devs the freedom to prove that within mid to later parts of the game - though I will say it was inspired by Jaws 2 and Orca (movies) in terms of story.
BUT ultimately it can actually be considered closer to Hungry Shark Evolution in some ways. You are constantly growing as you eat prey, you gain abilities as you grow, you choose how your shark evolves. The shark is more of a character, a superhero of the sea and not just out for revenge.
Don't listen to the anti-Epic scaly, he's just salty that it's on Epic.
I pre-ordered it on PS4, once I platinum it, I'll get it on pc as well.
Nice though at moment i found out that the phisicaly copy in most stores will get a Tiger Shark Adaption day 1 DLC the skin comes with the ability to digest nearly anything and increase your ability to gain nutrients from prey witch i think is the in game xp that alouws you to upgrade also it does looks good.
But digital copy pre-orders witch i was planning to get will not get it or anything extra content it may come out later if you pay problem is if i buy the physical copy from my local game store online store it says due to the virus it may be delayed leaving the warehouse so i may get it late.
i am torn between getting a physical copy with a skin i may only use to level quicker for those cool mutations if thats what nutrients does and risking getting it late. Or i pre-order digitaly stopping me selling if i get bored lol and not getting that tiger shark skin.
I will have to decide buy next week as that is when ile pre-order cant waite hope you have a lot of fun to link below to the dlc pic with info.
